Pre-Architectural Program for a combined adult and juvenile detention facility, including the Project Overview and Goals, Critical Design Issues, Space Needs, Adjacency Diagrams and system component relationships for all facility programs and operations.  An inclusive development model was used in the planning process, wherein all service providers participated in decision-making. JSG has worked with the Salt River Department of Corrections and the project Planning Team in participatory workshops to develop different components of the facility program. Services have included:

  • Population analysis
  • Needs assessment for required bed space
  • Functional narrative
  • Space program
  • Coordination of service providers to develop a program plan for the facility
  • Assistance in the development of RFP for the design services and architect selection
  • Design reviews at schematics, design development and construction drawing phases

Operations and activation planning services included development of policies and procedures and memoranda of agreement.
