Facility Activation Planning

Facility Activation Planning

The Facility Activation Planning workshop is a 2-day informational session that identifies major transition issues necessary for a successful facility activation and operations. The workshop provides direction to assist jurisdictions in planning facilities that are in line with standards regarding correctional operations, programs and design. It is important that the appropriate team of attendees include the “stakeholders” with responsibility for facility funding, operations; administration; detention; courts; police; prosecutor; budgeting; and plant maintenance.

Attendance in the two-day workshop will include a participant workbook; practical activities; and detailed discussions of specific topics related to the facility activation process.
